CALL FOR MEMBERS OF FYEG Working Group on ANIMAL RIGHTS PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 10 June 2010
FYEG - Federation of Young European Greens - is looking for young green volunteers willing to take on the challenge of starting a working group on Animal Rights.
The main goal of the WG is to start discussions around the topic of Animal Rights, which the GA in Bratislava has defined as a priority. Possible outcomes of the WG can be policy papers and input on how FYEG can integrate conscience of animal rights into its structures and procedures. Since this is an entirely new working group participants have a fair chance of shaping this process and contributing.

To join the WG or obtain more information, please send an email to nicolas [at] fyeg.org not later than the 4th of July explaining your motivation and including a recommendation letter from the National board of your organisation.

What are *working groups*?

Working groups are FYEGs think tanks according to FYEGs Internal Rules of Procedure. They gather groups of FYEG members, who would like to work on a particular topic: gather knowledge, examine cases, lobby for solutions. WGs will be given a mailing list.

Working groups can be seen as a think-tank but can also serve other needs: prepare activities for FYEG to carry out, train own and other members.

We are looking forward working and having fun with you!

Nicolas Schaefers, nicolas [at] fyeg.org
FYEG Coordinator of the WG on Animal Rights
