Call for tender: Graphic designer

Help us create a memorable campaign and a Greener Europe!

The Federation of Young European Greens (FYEG) is looking for a Graphic Designer to deliver a brand identity for their upcoming EU election campaign. The successful applicant will be responsible for creating a brand identity for our 2024 EU election campaign, as well as designing templates for online communications, including social media visuals.

About FYEG

FYEG is the European umbrella organisation for Young Green organisations from all over the continent, from Georgia to Ireland and from Cyprus to Norway. Our member organisations comprise various backgrounds: local ecological groups, student groups, youth wings of Green parties and Green Youth NGOs. In addition, we are also the independent, official youth wing of the European Green Party (EGP). FYEG is a dynamic and inclusive organisation that advocates and campaigns for political change, and serves as a platform for the exchange of ideas and knowledge among Young Green activists. 

We are working on building a more sustainable, social, feminist, welcoming and diverse Europe. 

About this call

FYEG is seeking an innovative and skilled graphic designer to create a dynamic brand identity for our 2024 EU election campaign. We are searching for a creative partner who can design captivating online communications, including social media visuals and web images, as well as merchandise designs, such as t-shirts and stickers.

We are committed to strengthening our visual identity and creating a recognisable brand, and we believe that a skilled graphic designer is crucial to this effort. The selected candidate will work collaboratively with our team to ensure that our designs reflect our core values of environmental sustainability and social justice.

The work is envisioned to take place between July and end of September 2023.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio on print and digital media

  • Available to begin the design work in August 2023.

  • Able to work within tight timelines and deliver within agreed deadlines 

  • Capable of working and communicating efficiently in English language 

  • Up-to-date with the latest graphic trends and aware of technical requirements for digital and print media

  • Experience working with printing companies

  • Sensitive to issues of diversity and inclusion  

  • Able to work collaboratively with team members and receive multiple rounds of feedback 

  • Attention to detail and visual composition 

  • A flexible, adaptable, practical and solutions-driven approach to work 

  • Able to develop easy-to-use graphic templates in line with the FYEGs visual identity  

  • Able to provide invoices 

  • Located in Europe 

Tasks

  • Develop a comprehensive brand identity for our upcoming 2024 EU election campaign.

  • Create visually compelling online communication designs for various platforms, such as social media visuals and web images.

  • Design engaging and high-quality merchandise items, such as 2 t-shirts and 5 sticker designs, a beanie and a sweatshirt design and a 4 page-booklet notebook to promote our campaign and enhance its visibility.

Selection process

The result of the tender will be a contract with a proposed value of €3800.
Each applicant is invited to submit a proposal outlining the following elements:

  • A financial offer for each of the items listed above.

  • Examples of previous work or a link to their portfolio.

  • A short presentation of the graphic designer outlining their experience, outlook, and ethos.

Short-listed designers will be commissioned for a small piece of design work at a value of €400 (not including licensing). The final selection will be made from the output of this commission and the application.

Agencies are as welcomed to apply as individuals.
