In Czechia, the tour seeks to foster dialogue with young Czechs, highlighting how EU policies impact their lives and encouraging them to actively participate in shaping the future of the EU through their vote in the upcoming elections.

11:00 - 12:00: Workshop: YOU are the EU - right?
Join us for an interactive session where we explore your connection to the European Union and how you can shape its politics as a young person. We'll start with a warm-up to discuss your sense of identity and representation within Europe and Czechia. Then, we'll dive into how individuals, especially young activists, can influence EU decisions through activism, lobbying, and political engagement - but most of all, their civic participation. What’s the weight of your vote? Let’s discuss it!

Budování hnutí?/Movement building?
Jaké strategie bychom měli použít, abychom vybudovali hnutí, které jednoho dne převrátí status quo? Jak změnit svět demokraticky, nenásilně, ale včas, aby nás tlak na nás nezdrtil? A jak postavíme koalici, která bude sociální i zelená? A jakou roli v tom všem hrají volby – místní, ale i evropské? To jsou otázky, které si denně klade snad každý aktivní člověk nespokojený s kapitalismem a hierarchickými mocenskými vztahy ve světě.
Zapojte se do interaktivní debaty s kandidátem do Evropského parlamentu za Zelené Petrem Doubravským, členkou kolektivu Univerzity pro klima Terezou Martinovskou, předsedou Mladých sociálních demokratů Lukášem Ulrychem a klimatickým aktivistou z organizace Reset Radkem Kubalou. Moderátorem bude Vojtěch Petrů.
What strategies should we employ to build a movement that will one day overturn the status quo? How do we change the world democratically, non-violently, but in time so that the pressure on us does not crush us? And how do we build a long-standing cross-border coalitions that are both social and green? And what role in all of this play elections - the local but also the European ones? These are questions that are asked daily by perhaps every active person who is dissatisfied with capitalism and the hierarchical power relations in the world.
Join the interactive debate with the candidate to the European Parliament for the Greens Petr Doubravský, a member of the University for Climate collective Tereza Martinovská, the chairman of the Young Social Democrats Lukáš Ulrych and the climate activist from the organisation Reset Radek Kubala. The moderator will be Vojtěch Petrů.
Práce a Nerůst/Work and Ungrowth
Práce ničí lidi a planetu, a přesto se zdá, že nemůžeme přestat pracovat. Tato sekce vedená Danielem Costa Yarabem (Nazemi) o historii práce od paleolitu přes kapitalismus až po nerůstovou budoucnost nabízí cestu ven. Jaké změny bychom měli požadovat na národní a evropské úrovni, abychom to viděli? Co můžeme dělat na individuální úrovni?
Work is destroying people and the planet, and yet we can't seem to stop working. This session run by Daniel Costa Yarab (Nazemi) on the history of work from the Paleolithic to capitalism to a non-growth future offers a way out. What changes should we demand on the national and European level to see this materialise? What can we do on an individual level? Let’s work out the solutions together!
14:00 - 15:00: The EU is turning to the right? with young politicians from Czechia, Austria and Germany
Join us for an engaging discussion as we delve into the topic of the EU's (apparent?, potential?) rightward shift, featuring insights from young politicians across Czechia, Austria, and Germany. Moderated by Bogi Nyiradi, the session includes young European election candidates Zuzanna Pavelkova, Emil Schenkyr, and Florian Tschebul. Together, we'll explore the rise of far-right movements in Europe, examining their impact on local communities and the tools they employ to spread their ideologies. Our guests will share their experiences in combating far-right extremism locally and discuss the role of green messages in countering these narratives. How can we prevent the conservative and non-inclusive narratives from spreading and dominating our political spheres? What are the risks we have to face ahead of the European elections? Will the next European Parliament be conservative and what does it mean for young people? Get ready to share your thoughts and predictions with the other participants!
15:00 - 16:30: Mluvíme už o Gaze? / Are we talking about Gaza yet?
Již více než šest měsíců svět sleduje nejkrvavější epizodu izraelsko-palestinského příběhu od vyhnání původního palestinského obyvatelstva z jejich domovů v roce 1948*. Teroristický útok Hamasu na izraelské civilisty a další teroristické organizace 7. října loňského roku se okamžitě dostal do povědomí Čechů a českých žen. Silné emocionální reakci na její brutalitu a solidaritě s jejími oběťmi je v české společnosti věnován náležitý prostor a důraz. Pokračující masivní odvetná akce Izraele, která ničí pásmo Gazy a decimuje jeho obyvatelstvo v bezprecedentních počtech, je přitom dlouho umlčována a mluvit o ní se někdy zdá téměř společenské tabu. Toto téma bude během nadcházejících voleb převládat alespoň v některých zemích.
Jak se lze orientovat v různých politických narativech a pozicích různých kandidátů, aby bylo zajištěno, že jejich hlas odpovídá jejich přesvědčení o lidských právech, obranných prioritách a dalších souvisejících otázkách? Tuto disparitu reprezentace a její vývoj prozkoumáme s česko-palestinskou umělkyní a aktivistkou Yarou Abu Ataya, novinářkou a etnografkou Sašou Uhlovou a filozofem Janem Bierhanzlem.
Jako FYEG zakládáme svou pozici na rezoluci OSN, která zahrnuje lidskoprávní přístup a kritiku izraelského chování, a také rezoluci OSN 242, která stanoví právo na existenci Izraele.
For over six months now, the world has been watching the bloodiest episode in the Israeli-Palestinian story since the expulsion of the indigenous Palestinian population from their homes in 1948*. The Hamas terrorist attack on Israeli civilians and other terrorist organisations on 7 October last year came to the attention of Czechs and Czech women immediately. The strong emotional reaction to its brutality and solidarity with its victims are given due space and emphasis in Czech society. At the same time, Israel's ongoing massive retaliatory action, destroying the Gaza Strip and decimating its population in unprecedented numbers, has long been silenced, and talking about it sometimes seems almost a social taboo. This topic will be prevalent in at least some countries during the upcoming elections.
How can one navigate through the various political narratives and positions of different candidates to ensure that their vote aligns with their beliefs regarding human rights, defense priorities, and other pertinent issues? We will explore this disparity of representation and its evolution with Czech-Palestinian artist and activist Yara Abu Ataya, journalist and ethnographer Saša Uhlová and philosopher Jan Bierhanzl.
As FYEG, we base our position on the UN resolution, which includes human rights approach and critique of Israel’s behaviour, as well as UN resolution 242, which stipulates the right of existence of Israel.

Promítání filmu Auto*mat (ČR, 2009) s následnou diskusí o veřejném prostoru a formách protestu na všech lokálních, národních i evropských úrovních proti autům a roli mladých lidí v hnutí, s režisérem a scenárista Martin Mareček a urbanistka Rozalia Kašparová.

Screening of the film Auto*mat (Czech Republic, 2009) followed by a discussion about public space and forms of protest on local, national, and European levels against cars, and the role young people can play in the movement of making cities more inhabitable and eco-friendly, with the director and screenwriter Martin Mareček and urban planner Rozalia Kašparová.

Ozoruhodný projekt na pomezí experimentální vážné hudby, slamu a performance. Richard Grimm ve spojení s dlouhodobým spolupracovníkem Františkem Pisarovičem chystají dynamické vystoupení postavené jak na pečlivém hudebním obsahu, tak na spontánní improvizaci. Vše v duchu evropské integrace a propojení mladých lidí. Je hudba jedním z mostů, díky kterým jsme všichni stejní? Jsou radost z hudby a hlasování tak odlišné?
A remarkable project on the border between experimental classical music, slam, and performance. Richard Grimm and his long-time collaborator František Pisarovič are preparing a dynamic performance based on both careful musical content and spontaneous improvisation. All in the spirit of European integration and connection between young people. Is music one of the bridges that makes us all the same? Are enjoying music and voting so different?

ALL DAY: Výstava aktivistky Lídy Karkové/Exhibition of the activist Lída Karková: THE MOTHERLY LOVE WE GET FROM EARTH
Výšivkou zaznamenávám viditelné i neviditelné obrazy Země.
Motivy vychází z fascinace fyzikálními, chemickými a dalšími jevy, které okolo probíhají a hýbou přírodou. Inspirují mě pohyby litosférických desek, vzlínající vlhkost v kapilárách, lidské tkáně, proudění vzduchu,neuroanatomie, feedback loops... Porovnávám vědecké ilustrace organických a anorganických jevů, a hledám v nich podobnosti. Jednotlivé jevy zjednodušuji, anorganický svět měním v organický, fyziku měním v biologii. Snažím se o zobrazení života ve všech hmotách a materiálech, protože neexistuje kámen ani organismus, který by nebyl součástí zemské samoregulace.
Ať už jsem ve městě na plénu nebo na stromě na lesní okupaci, cítím v sobě bezútěšnost, kterou s sebou klimatická krize a klimatická nespravedlnost nese. Věřím ale, že vnímání Země (včetně všech jejích procesů) jako našeho širšího těla může být východiskem z klimatického žalu i z celé klimatické krize.
Snaha o participativní spojení s přírodou je to, co mně a mnoha dalším lidem umožňuje zachovat si odhodlání a pokračovat v aktivismu.
Recykluji zbytkovou látku z továrny, ze které moje máma ušila závěsy. Pak jsem jí použila na svůj objekt „Kde jsi doma?“ a teď ji znovu přebarvuji a stříhám na kusy. Vyšívání vnímám jako péči, kterou materiálu dávám.
Snažím se vnímat svoji roli ve vztahu k Zemi a reflektovat ji ve způsobu, kterým tvořím.
I use embroidery to record visible and invisible images of the Earth.
The motifs are based on a fascination with the physical, chemical, and other phenomena that take place around and move nature. I am inspired by lithospheric plate movements, rising moisture in capillaries, human tissue, airflow, neuroanatomy, and feedback loops... I compare scientific illustrations of organic and inorganic phenomena and look for similarities. I'm simplifying phenomena, converting the inorganic world into the organic, and turning physics into biology. I try to depict life in all matter and materials because no stone or organism is part of the earth's self-regulation.
Whether I'm in the city on a plein air painting or in a tree during a forest occupation, I feel the bleakness that the climate crisis and climate injustice entail. But I believe that seeing the Earth (including all its processes) as our larger body can be a way out of climate grief and out of the whole climate crisis.
Finding a participatory connection with nature is what allows me and many other people to stay committed and continue activism and participation.
I recycle fabric scraps from the factory that my mother used to make curtains. I then used it for my object "Where are you home?" and now I'm dyeing it again and cutting it into pieces. I see embroidery as the care I give to the material.
I try to see my role on Earth and reflect it in the way I create.
